Hazel T. Cork is a graduate of Vesper George School of Art, and has studied with Carl Maier and Emile Cook. He worked as a freelance designer, illustrator and art director, gradually channeling his efforts to watercolor painting and teaching. A Rockport resident, he is a member of the American Watercolor Society, Rockport Art Association (past president), Guild of Boston Artists, North Shore Arts Association, Academic Artists Association, Society of Marine Painters, New England Watercolor Society, Hudson Valley Art Association and Art League of Marco Island.
His paintings have received many awards and gold medals, and he is author of several articles on painting. His work is included in permanent collections of the DeCordova Museum, A.T. & T. Company, Ford Motor Company, Prudential Insurance and Bank of Boston to name a few. Painting trips and watercolor workshops have taken him across mainland USA, Alaska, Hawaii, Ireland, England & Portugal.
